Rujuta says that there are some things that are tasty and they also have amazing medicinal properties, and if they are consumed regularly, the risk of any infections can be avoided and even if you have contracted dengue, your health can still be improved with these items:

The first thing in this list is Gulkand. You can either eat it in the morning, on an empty stomach or eat it with a meal. It is a sure-shot way of escaping acidity, nausea and weakness.
Add a glass of water to a glass of milk and boil it with a pinch of turmeric and two to three strands of saffron. Add a a little bit of nutmeg and cook it until it reduces to half. Add some jaggery and allow it to cool or drink it hot if you like. Turmeric milk increases immunity and reduces protein deficiency and inflammation.
You can also call it soup made from rice. Add black or rock salt, asafetida and ghee to rice kanji. Rujuta says that one should using good and pure asafetida, just like the one that is available in Kerala. Regular use of this concoction increases appetite, relieves dehydration, and helps to treat an imbalance of electrolytes.
Drink plenty of water every day in small sips, so that you pass lot of urine and the toxins get eliminated from the body. When urine color becomes clean or colorless, it is a sign of improvement in health.
Rujuta says that along with a healthy diet, a simple yoga asana, supta baddha konasana can also give you amazing benefits.
For this posture to be practiced in accordance with the Ayyangar system, two things are needed. A cushion or bolster, which allows the back to be rested comfortably and a blanket that can be kept under the neck to give it rest. To relax the entire body and provide relief from back pain, keep the upper part of the body in a comfortable position.
