We eat so many sweets and Savouries during Deewali days. So I end up with simple lunch like Vege pulav and soup. Or Daal palak and zeera rice. And Dinner with Pav Bhaji or Chole Poori.
You know for a Diwali lunch go simple as in the night again it's going to be elaborate. How about doing a South Indian lunch - Idli , small uttapams, sambar , coconut chutney and plain dosa's. You could keep the aloo filling in the side for anyone wanting it. Dessert - no mithai, maybe some Phirni or ice cream.
