6 cups sugar 3 cups water 25- 30 almonds 2 tbsp melon seeds 10-12 green cardamom 1 tbsp kewra essence 1 cup water for making paste Method: 1.Soak almonds and melon seeds overnight seperately. 2.Peel the almonds. Now in a grinder add almonds, melon seeds and cardamom seeds and water. Grind into a smooth paste. Add water in intervals not in one go. Add the paste in muslin cloth and squeeze out the paste in a bowl and keep aside. 3.Now make sugar syrup by boiling the sugar and water together. Once its done add the squeezed paste (made in step 2) in a sugar solution and again cook for 2-3 mins. 4.Let the syrup cool then add kewra essenc mix it. Store the syrup in dry bottles and keep it in refrigerator. 5.Mix the syrup in required quantity in chilled water mix it and Serve chilled!! Try out homemade almond squash. Try out homemade lemon squash which is refreshing nd can be stored for 15-20 days in refrigerator. Ingredients 6 cups sugar 3 cups water 1 cup lemon juice 1 tbsp lemon/ yellow food colour 1 tbsp lemon essence Method: 1.First in a pan take 3 cups water and 6 cups of sugar. Keep this sugar water solution on a low flame & stir it so the sugar dissolves. When the sugar is dissolved switch off the flame. 2.Now to filter the sugar solution of its impurities, take a bowl keep strainer and muslin cloth on top. Now pour the hot sugar solution carefully through the muslin lined strainer into the bowl. 3.The sugar syrup is ready. Let it cool down completely. Now add 1 cup lemon juice, 1 tbsp lemon/ yellow food colour and 1 tbsp lemon essence. Stir the lemon squash very well. 4.Now pour the lemon squash in a glass bottle or jar. Close the lid tightly and refrigerate. When preparing lemon squash drink: Add 2-3 tbsp of lemon squash in a glass and add chilled water. Stir well and serve. You can also add ice cubes.
