make dhokla with this batter , cut into pieces and give a tadka of onion, green chillis, tomtao etc
Hi Pankhuri..I soaked some urad dal overnight and then added some of the fermented dosa batter to it along with cumin, onions, ginger.Made some tasty vadas out of it!
Pankhuri,you can make idli upma as we south indians do.first steam the batter in a plate like dhokla.when cool crumble it. Take a pan and add oil,mustard seeds,udad dal,channa dal, onions about one,green chliies,adrak,curry leaves,asfoetida,coriander leaves, chutney powder ,and then the crumbled idlis.adjust salt .if your batter is not sour you can add dash of lime. If you dont have Chutney powder you can add sambar powder.
