ABOUT Egg's flower curry RECIPE

It is basically egg curry made in a different way. In normal egg curry there is no spices inside the egg , the masalas of gravy make it spicy. Here spices are added separately in both yolk and egg white. This dish was totally conceived by me.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Egg - 3 nos
  2. Garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  3. Pepper powder- 1/2
  4. Onion - 1 nos
  5. Garlic - 5-6
  6. Tomato - 1 nos
  7. Ginger - 1 inch ( one piece)
  8. Cashew - 3-4
  9. Cinnamon - 2 stick
  10. Cardamom - 2 nos
  11. Clove - 4 nos
  12. Curry leaves - -5-6
  13. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  14. coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  15. Cumin powder - 1/3 tsp
  16. turmeric powder - 1tsp
  17. Salt - 1/2 tsp or as per taste
  18. sugar - 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Separate the egg white and yolk.
  2. Add garlic salt and black pepper powder in egg white and mix properly.
  3. Garlic salt add in yolk and mix.
  4. Pour egg white in small bundt cake mould and steam for 3-4 minutes. Demould the egg white after little cool and make it upside down.
  5. Fill the hole with beaten egg yolk and again steam for 2 minutes.
  6. Egg flowers are ready and keep aside.
  7. For gravy... Chopped onion, garlic, ginger, hot spices, cashew and tomato are fried in little oil.
  8. Once cooled, paste the masala in mixer adding little water. Strain the masala mixture and keep aside.
  9. In hot oil ,add the masala paste , coriander powder, chilly powder, cumin powder , turmeric powder and salt .
  10. Add curry leaves and cook on low flame till oil comes out .
  11. Add little water and steamed egg flowers in boiling gravy .
  12. Boil for 2 minutes and egg flower curry is ready.
