ABOUT One pot chicken biryani RECIPE

This is a quick procedure for biryani. Take less time than classic one and of course with less masala, and oil , but taste was awesome..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 500gm
  2. Basmati rice - 1 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee - 1 tbsp
  4. Oil - 1tbsp
  5. Garam masala powder- 1 tsp ( cinnamon, clove nutmeg and cardamom)
  6. Chilly powder - 1/2 tbsp
  7. Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  8. Cinnamon - 4-5 sticks
  9. Clove - 5-6 nos
  10. Cardamom - 5-6 nos
  11. Bay leaves - 2 nos
  12. Chopped onion - 1 cup
  13. Chopped ginger garlic - 1 tbsp
  14. ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  15. Lemon juice - 1/4 cup
  16. Curd - 3-4 tbsp
  17. salt as per taste
  18. Chopped Coriander

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, garam masala powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, salt and curd for 10 minutes.
  2. Wash rice, drain out that water and keep aside.
  3. Add mixture of ghee and oil in a pressure cooker and heat. Add all whole spices, finely chopped ginger garlic and fry a little. Add chopped onion and fry till colour is redish.
  4. Add marinated chicken and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add washed rice, cook for another 2 minutes and add 2 cups of water.
  5. Put the lid and cook for 10 minutes ( one whistle). Once.the steam subsidies, open the lid of the cooker and add chopped coriander.
  6. Dish is ready to serve.
