About Fare Recipe

Fare is popular in jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Orrissa. It is very easy to make & easy to digest.

Ingredients to make Fare

  • Rice flour 1/2 cup
  • Hot water 1 cup
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • sesame seeds 1 tbsp
  • curry leaves 10-12
  • garlic- ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • green chillies 4-5
  • salt as per taste
  • oil for Tadka

How to make Fare

  1. Take hot water in a big bowl, add salt & rice flour , mix well with spoon as it is hot. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Now knead the dough with hands. It should not be tight or sticky.
  3. Make small balls.
  4. Boil water in a wide pan & put the balls in it. Cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain the water & put the balls in strainer.
  5. Heat oil in a kadhai, add mustard seeds when start tampering add sesame seeds, chillies, curry leaves & ginger garlic paste. Cook for a minute & add the cooked rice balls & saute it for few minutes.
  6. Serve with green chatni & tea.

My Tip:

The dough should be perfectly kneaded for soft fare's so knead dough by hands for 2 minutes.
