Ingredients to make Hot and Spicy potato masala South Indian style

  • 3-4 medium size potatoes, boiled
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • 2 tsp Sambhar masala
  • turmeric Powder as per choice
  • chilli powder as per choice
  • 1 tbsp ginger chilli paste
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • coriander for garnish
  • curry leaves as per choice

How to make Hot and Spicy potato masala South Indian style

  1. Boil the potatoes and cut in desired sizes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add chana dal and fry it. Add ginger chilli paste and sambhar masala, curry leaves.
  4. Add in the boiled chopped potatoes.
  5. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt as per taste.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped coriander.
  7. Serve hot with white rice and chapati.

My Tip:

Make it spicy and tangy.
