ABOUT Instant Coconut Chutney RECIPE

It goes with Dosa, Idli and Uttapam.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 cup dry Coconut powder
  2. 1/4 cup Yogurt
  3. 2-3 green chillies
  4. 1/2 inch Ginger, chopped
  5. Water as needed
  6. 1 tsp Roasted Chana dal (Optional)
  7. Salt to taste
  8. For tempering:
  9. Red chillies 1 to 2
  10. Urad dal 1/2 to 1 tsp
  11. Oil a few tsps
  12. Mustard seeds as per choice

Instructions

  1. Put dry coconut powder, water, yogurt, green chillies, ginger and salt in a mixie jar. Blend it till smooth consistency is reached.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and Urad dal, fry till brown in colour.
  3. Add kashmiri red chilli and pour tempering over the chutney. Garnish it with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
