Corn meal and green peas vada

Ingredients to make Corn meal and green peas vada

  • Corn meal 1/2 cup
  • Chopped green chili 1 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Chat masala powder 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Chopped onion 1 tbsp
  • Oil for frying and 1 tbsp

How to make Corn meal and green peas vada

  1. Coarsely grind the peas in a grinder.
  2. Strain the flour and mix in the peas, salt, red chili and green chili, coriander, cumin powder, chat masala, lemon juice and 1 tsp oil. Add in sufficient water and make a smooth and a thick batter.
  3. Heat the oil in a wok, make pakoda shapes of the mixture, then fry each vada till they are golden and crispy.
My Tip: We can also add grated carrot in the mixture.
