Fried Masala Idli

Ingredients to make Fried Masala Idli

  • 2 cup Idly mix (I have used MtrMix)
  • buttermilk 1 cup Salt as per taste.
  • For tempering
  • Half tsp -mustard seeds.
  • 5..6 curry leaves
  • 5..6 curry leaves 1 small chopped onion
  • salt as per taste
  • chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  • mango powder- half tsp
  • coriander powder-half tsp
  • sugar less than half tsp
  • tomato ketchup “ 2tsp
  • oil 1 tsp

How to make Fried Masala Idli

  1. Firstly make idlis by adding buttermilk and salt pour the batter in idly maker and wait for 5 minutes.(I have made these idli in microwave idli maker)
  2. Check the idlis that they are cooked properly.Now take the idlis out. And cut it into small pieces
  3. Then take a wok add oil. Now add mustard seeds,curry leaves ..let it crackle. Now add chopped onions. All the masalas into it( except ketchup).Now put the pieces of idlis into the wok.Lastly add Tomato ketchup into it.. ENJOY
