Ingredients to make Jhatpat manchurian

  • Finely chopped cabbage,carrots,capsicum,onion- 1 bowl each
  • Garlic paste- 1 spn
  • Leftover rice- 1 bowl(not compulsory)
  • Maida and corn flour- 5 spoons each
  • Salt and black pepper as per taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Onion chopped- 4 spoons(for gravy)
  • Garlic chopped- 2 spoons
  • Corn flour- 1 spoon dissolved in 4 spoons of water
  • Soya sauce and vinegar- 3 spoons each
  • Tomato sauce-5 spoons
  • Green onion leaves and coriander for garnish

How to make Jhatpat manchurian

  1. Chop all vegetables in a chopper and mix them in a bowl with rice, maida, corn flour salt and black pepper, add garlic paste.
  2. Make small balls of it and deep fry till brown in colour.
  3. For gravy- take a pan, add chopped onion and garlic and sauté it for just 1 minute, add salt, black pepper, soya sauce, vinegar, tomato sauce.
  4. Add mixture of corn flour and water, let boil, add balls and garnish it with coriander.
  5. We can add water in gravy as per our need of Manchurian with gravy or dry Manchurian.

My Tip:

Boiled rice will give extra crunchiness to balls.
