Ingredients to make Kadahi paneer

  • Dry spices-
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 4 pepper corns
  • 1 tbsp coriander Seeds
  • 1 cardamom
  • Saute-
  • 3 onion roughly chopped
  • 4 tomato chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Gravy-
  • 1 capsicum in cubes
  • 1 onion in cubes
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 250 gm paneer

How to make Kadahi paneer

  1. Roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, cloves, cardamoms, pepper corns in a heated pan for about a minute. Now let it cool.
  2. Grind the dry roasted seeds in a grinder to make a smooth powder.
  3. Heat some oil in a pan, add the onions to it and saute.
  4. Once the onions turns brown, add the tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes turn soft.
  5. Add salt and mix everything well. Put the content in the grinder with the powdered spices in it.
  6. Add raw mango powder, water if needed and grind it to make a smooth paste.
  7. Put butter in a pan and add ginger and garlic paste to it Add shelled onions diced capsicum and toss them and cook them for about 2 mins.
  8. Add ground paste, some water, paneer cubes, salt, garam masala, fresh coriander, mix well. Cover the lid and cook for some time.
  9. Serve hot with chapatis and rice.

My Tip:

Roast the dry spices on low flame.
