About Mango Kesari Recipe

Its a very delicious dessert made with rava.m Also made with fruits like banana, pineapple, mango or mixed fruits.

Mango Kesari

Ingredients to make Mango Kesari

  • Rava /sooji -1/2 cup
  • sugar -3/4 Cup
  • water - 1 1/2 cups
  • mango pulp - 1/2 cup ( I used storebought pulp)
  • cardamom Powder -1/4 tsp
  • salt - a pinch
  • ghee -1/4 Cup
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tbspn
  • cashew -8

How to make Mango Kesari

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a wide non stick pan, fry the cashews. keep it aside. In the same pan fry the rava in medium flame without changing the colour. Keep it aside.
  2. Boil the 1 1/2 water, add mango pulp and salt to it. Mix slowly add the roasted rava without any lumps. Once the rava absorbs the water, lower the flame, cover with lid and cook the rava for 2-3 minutes or until soft.
  3. Once done add the sugar, keep stirring until it thickens. Now add rest of the ghee. Once it leaves the sides of the pan, switch off the flame.
  4. Finally add the cardamom powder, cashew and oil, mix it well.

My Tip:

Don't omit oil, it gives a glossy look.
