Wholesome and delicious, the pancake batter can be made overnight and then rustled up the next morning

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 1 egg beaten
  3. 3 tsp baking powder
  4. 1 cup milk
  5. 1 ripe banana
  6. 1 tblsp honey
  7. 1/4 tsp salt
  8. 3 tblsp melted butter
  9. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  10. To serve: additional honey
  11. 2 bananas

Instructions

  1. 1. Sift the dry ingredients together - whole wheat flour, salt and baking powder. Keep aside.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe banana till pulpy. Add honey, milk, vanilla and egg to it.
  3. 3. Sift in the dry ingredients. Add in the melted butter and whisk well.
  4. 4. Heat a flat pan and drizzle some oil onto it. Pour in 1/4 cup batter per pancake and cook on each side for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. 5. Serve with sliced bananas and more honey

Does the batter need to be fermented? Should it be kept aside for 3 hours?
