Ingredients to make Chocolate Chip Muffins

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Steps to make Chocolate Chip Muffins

  1. 1. In a bowl sift the dry ingredients including - whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Keep aside.
  2. 2. In a bowl break the eggs, add the vanilla to it and beat gently till it breaks down well. Add the oats to it as well as 1/2 of the milk. Keep aside
  3. 3. In a large mixing bowl mix the butter and the sugar together. Add the egg mixture, just mix till incorporated. Add in all the dry ingredients,, the remaining milk and 1 cup of the chocolate chips. Mix only till incorporated.
  4. 4. Spoon into prepared muffin moulds and sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips. Bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees centigrade
My Tip: To make a chocolate chocolate chip muffin add 1/3 cup of cocoa powder to this mixture and an additional 1/4 cup sugar
