Eid without biryani is just like morning without tea.Today I m presenting mutton biryani with mint flavour which will make your festival more bright.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton...1/2kg
  2. Fried onion paste...1 bowl
  3. Curd...100gm
  4. Ginger garlic paste...1tspn
  5. Turmeric powder...1tspn
  6. Red chilli powder...1tspn
  7. Garam masala...1tspn
  8. Green chilli paste...1tspn
  9. Mint paste...1tspn
  10. Chopped mint leaves...2tspn
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Green cardamom...2
  13. Star anise...1
  14. Cinnamon stick...1
  15. Bay leaves...2
  16. Fried onion...2
  17. Long grain basmati rice....200gm
  18. Ghee...1/2cup
  19. Oil as needed
  20. Mint paste...1tspn
  21. Chopped mint leaves...3tspn

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mutton with salt, fried onion paste, ginger garlic paste,green chilli paste,green chilli slices, red chilli powder, mint paste, chopped mint leaves & curd.Keep it in fridge for 5 to 6 hours.
  2. After 6 hours, cook the marinated mutton in pressure cooker for 3 to 4 whistles.Make it cool & open the whistle & cook it for another 20 minutes to boil it properly.
  3. Take water in a vessel, add bay leaves, green cardamom, cinnamon stick & star anise.When it will start to boil, add soaked rice & make half boil.Drain excess water & make the rice cool.
  4. Now take a big vessel.Brush 2 tspn ghee & make a layer of half cooked rice.Then add cooked mutton gravy.
  5. Add a layer of rice again.
  6. Finally add saffron mix milk, ghee, fried onion.
  7. Now cover the vessel with lid & seal it with chapati mixture.Cook it for 15 minutes in low flame
  8. After that make it cool & serve it in a plate.
