Chicken Seekh Masala

Ingredients to make Chicken Seekh Masala

  • Frozen Seekh Kabab - 400 gms
  • onions finely chopped- 5-6
  • ginger paste- 1 teaspoon
  • garlic paste- 1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder- 1-1/2 teaspoon
  • chilli powder- 1/2 teaspoon (you can increase if you wish)
  • turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • One Full tomato Puree
  • cream- 1/4 cup
  • Garam masala powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • oil- 3 tablespoons
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1/4 cup of tamarind water

How to make Chicken Seekh Masala

  1. Saute Seekh Kabab ( cut into small usual pieces) in a non Stick Pan for 10 Mins. Dice some Chicken Masala over the kababs before putting on the pan.
  2. In a pan, heat oil and add the onions and saute till golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic pastes and stir well for a few seconds. Add the coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, fennel powder and stir well. Then add the tomato puree and cook till the oil separates.
  3. Add the seekh kababs and mix well. add some water here. then add 1/4 cup of tamarind water. Once the mixture comes to a boil, add the salt and cream and mix well. Add the Garam masala powder and switch off as soon as it just starts to bubble. Garnish with coriander leaves.

My Tip:

I added oregano halfway through, considering my experimental instincts. It turned out pretty well. You might want to give it a shot too.
