ABOUT Lentil Pancakes (Dal Parantha) RECIPE

A make over from left over dal and ingredients off the kitchen shelf for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it's yummy all the time & nutritious too. Even kids will love it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup leftover Lentils (dal)
  2. 1 cup whole Wheat flour
  3. 1 Green chilli chopped
  4. 2 tbsp. clarified Butter (ghee)
  5. 2 tbsp. chopped Coriander
  6. 1 tbsp. finely chopped Onions
  7. 1/2 tsp. Chilli flakes
  8. 1/4 tsp. Carom seeds
  9. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Knead dough by ingredients mentioned under ‘Ingredients list’ by applying oil to your palms.
  2. Divide this dough into 8 small balls. Roll and flat them into small rounds.
  3. Fry each one of them with ½ tbsp. butter by adding them to a heated griddle.
  4. You can serve these hot with pickle or mint chutney.
