Strawberry Jam

Ingredients to make Strawberry Jam

  • 800g Strawberries (Fresh)
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice.

How to make Strawberry Jam

  1. Wash, hull and dry the strawberries. Mash in a bowl.
  2. Heat a saucepan, add the mashed strawberries, sugar and lemon juice.
  3. Stir over low heat until sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Turn up the heat and bring the mixture to boil. Stirring continously.
  5. Remove from heat after its becomes a thick syrup.
  6. Pour this into the glass jars with 1/4 head space left. Cover tightly.
  7. In a pot of boiling water, place a rack and the glass jars for 10 mins to process.
  8. Store in refrigerator.
