Kids love chana bhature, so here is how I make these for them at home.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cup boiled chickpeas
  2. 2 onions
  3. 2 tomatoes
  4. 1tbs ginger garlic paste
  5. 2 Potatoes
  6. Salt
  7. 1/4tsp Cumin seeds
  8. 1table spoon chana masala
  9. 2 tea spoon tamarind pulp
  10. 2 green chillies
  11. 4 table spoon mustard oil
  12. For Bhaturas...
  13. 4 cup Maida
  14. 1 cup curd
  15. Salt
  16. 1/4tea spoon cumin seeds
  17. 1tea spoon sugar
  18. 1table spoon kasoori methi
  19. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. First, we would knead the dough for the bhaturas, take the maida in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add salt, cumin seeds, sugar and kasoori methi
  3. Add curd and knead a semi soft dough. keep aside for an hour.
  4. Now to prepare the chana along, heat some mustard oil in a pressure cooker pan.
  5. Add cumin seeds, followed by the chopped onion.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and saute further.
  7. Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute until they are mushy enough.
  8. Add the green chillies and chopped potatoes.
  9. Now add the salt and chana masala.
  10. Now add ample amount of water to boil the chana. Close the lid and Cook till 2 whistles are attained.
  11. Open and add tamarind pulp, boil the mixture for 2 more minutes.
  12. Add coriander leaves.
  13. Now heat oil in a kadhai. Divide the dough into equal roundels, roll each one to form the bhaturas. Deep fry them in the hot oil.
  14. Serve with chana
