Ingredients to make Instant besan dhokla

  • Besan - 5 tablespoon
  • Suji - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 5 teaspoon
  • Citric acid - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water
  • Batter - 2 teaspoon
  • Mustard 1/2 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Coriander leaves - a few
  • Cumin Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Seasame Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chilli - 3

How to make Instant besan dhokla

  1. Take basan into big bowl add suzi salt sugar and citric acid
  2. Mix it neatly then add water to make a consistent batter. Now take a dhokla pan and grease it with oil., If you don’t have dhokla pan then put water and put ring and then keep a thali on it. Grease the thali with oil.
  3. Put it on the stove and turn it on. When water starts boiling, take dhokla batter and add ¼ tsp turmeric and 2-3 teaspoon oil. Mix it nicely.
  4. When water is hot, add baking soda and mix it smoothly in one direction. Batter becomes double in quantity
  5. Put this batter into the greased thali/dhokla pan. Keep it on high flame for 20 minutes. Now check with knife, if it comes out clear, your instant dhokla is ready
  6. Cool it completely then cut it and put some oil into it.
  7. • Put mustard cumin seeds Seasome, hing, green chilli for tadka. When your tadka gets ready than put on dhokla. Serve
My Tip: Add soda and mix till the batter doubles
