Ingredients to make Crispy Donut

  • maida 1 kg
  • sugar 3/4 kg
  • eggs 5
  • curd 2 tablespoons
  • baking soda a pinch
  • oil - 1 liter
  • salt a pinch

How to make Crispy Donut

  1. Take a wide bowl and add maida, make a well in the middle and break the eggs into it.
  2. Powder the sugar so that it is easily mixed.
  3. Add the powdered sugar, baking soda, curd and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavour.
  4. Mix it well and do not add any water as the egg, sugar and curd are sufficient enough to be able to mix the flour.
  5. The consistency of the flour should be such that it should not stick to your palms.
  6. Take a wok and pour 1 litre of oil and let it heat but do not let it go to a high temperature.
  7. When you feel the oil is hot enough make small balls and put it in the oil.
  8. The oil should be kept on medium heat, enough to make the doughnuts crispy.
  9. Occasional stirring is required. After the doughnuts turn golden brown, remove from the vessel and serve. Store in an airtight container.

My Tip:

Make in small quantities till you master the recipe.
