ABOUT Instant kuzhipaniyaram RECIPE

A South Indian breakfast recipe which is known as Paniyaram in Tamil Nadu, paddu in Karnataka and ponganalu in Telugu. This recipe is an instant version prepared with semolina. It is later served with choice of chutney or even sambhar for morning breakfast. It's my kiddo's favourite recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Semolina
  2. 3/4 cup curd
  3. ½ teaspoon salt
  4. ½ cup water
  5. 2 Tbsp Coriander leaves
  6. 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
  7. 2 tbsp Oil
  8. 1 tbsp grated Ginger
  9. 1 chopped onion
  10. 5 finally chopped curry leaves

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add semolina, curd, salt and mix well.
  2. add half cup of water and mix well.
  3. In a pan add oil heat it add Ginger, Chilli and onion saute for 2 minutes.
  4. In a semolina batter add roasted onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves and mix well.
  5. Cover with lid and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  6. after 10 minutes add baking soda mix well
  7. grease the Appe Pan with few drops of oil.
  8. Pour the semolina batter one tablespoon in each appe.
  9. Cover with lid and Simmer for 2 minute.
  10. Half cooked roasted bottom flip over again Simmer for 2 minute.
  11. Now our Instant kuzhipaniyaram is cooked properly.
  12. Served with choice of chutney or even sambhar.
