About Neer Mor Recipe

South Indian spiced buttermilk.

Neer Mor

Ingredients to make Neer Mor

  • Curd/yogurt 1 cup
  • water 3 cups
  • green chillies 2
  • ginger 1/2 tsp (Optional)
  • curry leaves 1 sprig
  • coriander leaves a few finely chopped
  • lime juice 1 teaspoon (Optional)
  • salt as per taste
  • oil 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1/8 tsp
  • hing a pinch

How to make Neer Mor

  1. Take a large bowl or jug, add curd and whisk well with a whisker, when it completely blends, add water and whisk for a few minutes until it becomes creamy in texture.
  2. Add chopped ginger and green chillies to the buttermilk , adding ginger is optional, tempering can be done with given ingredients and pour on buttermilk.
  3. Add chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves. Add lime juice if required. Serve chilled.
