About Oats Pesarattu Recipe

Pesarattu is an Andhra famous breakfast made with oats and moong dal.

Oats Pesarattu

Ingredients to make Oats Pesarattu

  • Whole moong dal 1 cup
  • Oats fistful or 1/4 cup
  • rice 1/4 cup
  • onion 1, finely chopped
  • ginger 1 small piece, finely chopped
  • green chillies 2, finely chopped
  • cumin (Jeera) seeds 1 teaspoon

How to make Oats Pesarattu

  1. Soak moong dal along with rice in water for three to four hours. After that grind into a fine paste.
  2. Roast oats on medium flame and blend well into fine paste. Add salt, cumin and ginger pieces.
  3. Heat a nonstick griddle and add little oil , pour batter and heat for few minutes, add chopped onions, chillies and flip to cook onthe other side.
  4. Take this dosas into a plate, serve with peanut chutney and ginger chutney or sambar.
