This dried chambal is a best side dish for aappam which is very famous in my native place.

Ingredients to make Dried maldive fish recipe | Maasi chambal

  • Dried maldive fish piece- 1 big piece
  • red chilly- 3 r 4 (adjust)
  • grated coconut-1\3 cup
  • pearl onion -6-8
  • tamarind -small berry size
  • garlic pods-2 r 3
  • curry leaves-few
  • salt to taste

How to make Dried maldive fish recipe | Maasi chambal

  1. Take all ur ingredients and keep ready. Roast the red chilly in direct flame.Break maasi into pieces.
  2. Transfer red chilly,maasi,grated coconut,shallot,tamarind,garlic pods,salt,curry leaves in to a mixer.
  3. Grind it into a coarse form.(don't add water).

My Tip:

Adjust red chilly accordingly.
