Spinach and Oats Kebabs

Ingredients to make Spinach and Oats Kebabs

  • 1 kg Spinach
  • 1 cup Oats
  • 1/2 cup Soya granules
  • 2 boiled Potatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • 3/4 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Roasted Cumin /Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1 tsp Chopped Green chillies
  • 2 tsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Onion rings a few
  • Lemon wedges to serve
  • Mint sauce for serving

How to make Spinach and Oats Kebabs

  1. Heat oil in a thick bottomed vessel.
  2. Chop spinach and wash it. Blanch spinach. Drain excess water.
  3. Boil and mash potatoes and pressure cook soya granules. Drain excess water and squeeze it.
  4. Add Blanched spinach to hot oil. When it dries, add drained and squeezed Soya granules and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove it from flame and add mashed potatoes, oats, green chillies, chopped coriander, red chilli powder, chaat masala and jeera powder. Knead it into a dough.
  6. Make balls out of it and flatten them a little.
  7. Shallow fry or deep fry them and serve with onion rings, lemon wedges and mint sauce.
