About Spinach and Corn Souffle Recipe

This is an easy, fool proof, light and fluffy souffle. Delicious combination of corn and spinach souffle in this casserole makes an attractive and a flavorful dish.

Spinach and Corn Souffle

Ingredients to make Spinach and Corn Souffle

  • corn 1 cup
  • spinach 1 bunch
  • butter 2 cubes
  • garlic, chopped 1 tsp
  • onions, finely chopped 1
  • nutmeg, grated 1 pinch
  • All-purpose flour 1 tbsp
  • eggs 3
  • Bread crumbs 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1 - 2 cups
  • Parmesan cheese powder or Amul processed cheese 3 - 4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • salt, as required

How to make Spinach and Corn Souffle

  1. In a hot pan, add butter, garlic, finely chopped onions, grated nutmeg and saute it.
  2. Add all purpose flour and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add corn, pepper, salt and milk. Mix well.
  4. Add spinach and increase the flame to cook till water oozes out.
  5. Add grated powdered cheese/processed cheese then turn off the flame and add egg yolks and mix it nicely.
  6. Now this mixture is ready. Cool for sometime and transfer into a blender and blend it.
  7. In a bowl add egg whites and whisk whites just to medium peaks.
  8. Now transfer blended mixture into a bowl and add in the bread crumbs, beaten egg whites and fold in gently.
  9. Then transfer into ramekins/casserole and place it in the oven.
  10. Bake at 180 degree centigrade for 40-45 minutes or until done.
  11. Souffle is ready to eat.

My Tip:

Serve immediately as souffle tends to go flat as it cools down.
