ABOUT Dahi mint soya rice RECIPE

Mint gives nice flavour to rice, and the curd adds that extra aroma and sourness to the rice.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 200 gms soya chunks (soak in warm water)
  2. 1/4 kg rice soaked (1 hour)
  3. 1 bunch mint leaves
  4. 4 green chili slices
  5. Chopped onion 1 cup
  6. Chopped tomatoes 1 cup
  7. 1 potato peal cut diced
  8. 1 cup dahi
  9. 4 lavangs
  10. 1 cinnamon peice
  11. 1/4 tsp shajeera
  12. 1 tsp salt
  13. Chili powder 1/2 tsp
  14. Biryani masala 1/2 tsp
  15. 1/4 tsp halfi
  16. 1 tsp ghee
  17. 1 tsp oil

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add curd.
  2. Add all powders and mix well
  3. Add all veggies in Masala dahi
  4. Add lemon juice, mix well and keep it marinated for 20 minutes.
  5. Now heat a pressure cooker pan.
  6. Add ghee or oil, and then add the whole spices.
  7. Then add onions,mint leaves, tomato
  8. Then add marinated dahi masala
  9. Mix well and put soaked rice ,add salt
  10. Add water , the quantity should be double the amount of rice. Then add salt, mint leaves .
  11. Close cooker lid and cook until 2 whistles are attained. Open the lid, mix and serve hot.
