About Sardine / Mathi Fry Recipe

Sardines are one of the best sources of omega 3 fatty acids,They are also naturally good with vitamin D.

Sardine / Mathi Fry

Ingredients to make Sardine / Mathi Fry

  • Sardines -10
  • coconut Oil - For Shallow frying
  • To Grind :
  • Pearl onions -8
  • ginger -1/2 " piece
  • garlic pods -5
  • pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • turmeric powder -1/4 tsp

How to make Sardine / Mathi Fry

  1. *Clean and cut the sardines.Grind the ingredients given under "To Grind" to a smooth paste .Marinate the fish with this groun mixture for 1/2 an hr.
  2. *In a pan pour the oil and lay the fish.Fry on medium flame until it turns golden colour,turning them to the other side in between.switch off the flame.
  3. *Serve hot with rice !!
