Ingredients to make Murngai elai adai

  • 1cup boild rice idly rice
  • 1/4cup raw rice
  • You can use entirely boiled rice or raw rice
  • Half cup thoor dal
  • 1/4 cup chenna dal and 1tbs urad dal
  • 6or7redchillies 1tablespoon of salt 1tsp asafetida
  • Curryleaves
  • Last important thing is drumstic leaves sepperated from stalk washed and chopped

How to make Murngai elai adai

  1. Grind the rice dal red chilly with salt and asafoetida coarsely.the batter should not be smooth as for dosa
  2. Finally add the curry leaves and the drumstick leaves .if thee batter is too thick add some more water hest the thava .smear oil and pour the batter and spread evenly.pour oil along the sides of the ada when it gets roasted flip it to the other side . Add some more oil once crisp remove. This can be had with sambar , chutny,idly pody.

My Tip:

Insted of drumstick leaves you can add finely chopped onions or cabbage and eat with jaggery and butter
