  1. Basmati rice...1cup
  2. Chopped onion for Birista...1
  3. Star anise...1
  4. Cloves...4
  5. Cinnamon stick...1"
  6. Green cardamom...1
  7. Ghee...1/2cup
  8. Egg...3
  9. Mutton mince...300gm
  10. Potato...2
  11. Onion paste...3tspn
  12. Ginger paste...1tspn
  13. Garlic...6
  14. Green chilli...3
  15. turmeric powder...1tspn
  16. Red chilli powder...1tspn
  17. Garam masala...1/2tspn
  18. Gram flour...1cup
  19. A handful of coriander leaves.
  20. For gravy....Onion paste...3tspn
  21. Ginger garlic paste...1tspn
  22. Cashew nuts_coconut powder_poppy seeds_malai paste...3tspn
  23. turmeric powder....1tspn
  24. Red chilli powder...1tspn
  25. Kashmiri red chilli powder...1tspn
  26. Garam masala...1/4tspn
  27. Salt to taste
  28. Sugar...1/4tspn
  29. Oil for frying
  30. Wheat...1cup for dough
  31. Saffron soaked milk...4tspn
  32. Rose water...1drop
  33. Keora water...2drop
  34. Meethi aatar...1drop

Instructions

  1. Make a paste of mutton mince, green chilli , salt , turmeric powder & ginger .
  2. Mix coriander leaves & red chilli powder .
  3. Mix gram flour.
  4. Mix 1tspn ghee .
  5. Make a dough of it.
  6. Take some portion from dough, put 1 hard boiled egg in it & seal it from all sides.
  7. Keep it in fridge for 15 minutes.
  8. Deep fry all the balls in medium flame.
  9. Fry some potato slices & keep aside.
  10. Heat oil, add onion & ginger garlic paste.Saute it for a while.
  11. Add cashew_malai_poppy seeds_coconut powder paste & all spices.Mix it well & add some water.
  12. When it will start to boil , add koftas.
  13. Boil rice with whole spices.
  14. Now assembling time.Take a big vessel.Place one layer of half boiled rice.
  15. Spread birista (fried onion) & saffron milk.Add ghee also.
  16. Cut the koftas into halves.Put koftas & gravy over the onion layer.
  17. Again put one layer of rice.Spread extra ghee, meethi aatar, rose water & keora water .Cover it & seal it with wheat dough.Cook it for 15 minutes in low to medium flame.
  18. Decorate with fried potato & serve it with salad & raita.
