3 Spice Potato Stir Fry (Sukhi Aloo Sabzi)

Ingredients to make 3 Spice Potato Stir Fry (Sukhi Aloo Sabzi)

  • Boiled, Peeled and diced potatoes 4
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder (ReshamPatti Red Chilli Powder) 1/2 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Corainder for Garnish

How to make 3 Spice Potato Stir Fry (Sukhi Aloo Sabzi)

  1. Warm up oil in IRON Kadhai.
  2. Add Asafoetida (Add salt if u see vapours in your Kadhai to lower the oil temperature).
  3. Add Turmeric, Chilli Powder and Salt.
  4. Add Potatoes and blend so that they have a nice coat of 3 Spices.
  5. Turn your flame to slow and keep on stirring the potatoes.
  6. Once you find a nice crisp coat over potatoes, turn off the flame.
  7. Finish off with Coriander Garnish and serve them with hot Phulkas/Chapati.

My Tip:

If you think of adding Jeera or Mustard seeds to it, I would advice not to do it. Iron Kadhai with this version has a simplistic flavour and a crispiness which will keep your taste buds satiated. This can go as a side dish with Gujarati Dal Chawal or Kadhi Chawal.
