ABOUT Shrikhand RECIPE

Shrikhand is an Indian sweet dish made of strained dahi (yogurt).Shrikhand has been referred to as "Shikhrini" in the Sanskrit literature. According to Jashbhai B. Prajappati and Baboo M. Nair, it originated in ancient India, around 400 B.C.E

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Curd 4 Cups
  2. Sugar 1 1/2 Cup ( or to taste) i like little sweetnes
  3. Whipped Cream 4 tablespoon
  4. Saffron milk
  5. Cardamom Powder 1 teaspoon
  6. Finely Chopped Dry Nuts 1/2 Cup

Instructions

  1. Hang the curd overnight or for at least 3-4 hours to make hung curd.
  2. Hung curd should be very smooth to proceed further.
  3. Add chopped nuts , cardamom powder , saffron milk sugar and whip cream to it.
  4. Mix all ingredients well and refrigerate it for at least 2-3 hours before serving. garnish with few chopped nuts.
