ABOUT Buttermilk Rasam RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Curd 1 cup
  2. Water 2 cups
  3. Turmeric powder 1/4 spoon
  4. Riced flour 1 spoon
  5. Salt a pinch
  6. Tuvar dal 1 spoon
  7. 2-3 red chillies
  8. Black pepper (whole) 1/2 tbsp
  9. Methi seeds 10
  10. Hing 1/4 spoon
  11. Oil 1 spoon
  12. Mustard seeds 1/2 spoon
  13. Curry leaves 8-10

Instructions

  1. In a pan take curd and water and mix it well.
  2. Then add turmeric powder and mix it well and keep it aside.
  3. In a pan take tuvar dal, red chillies, methi seeds, hing, black pepper roast it well and grind it in powder form.
  4. Add the powder in buttermilk mixture.
  5. Add rice flour and mix well.
  6. Place this pan on burner and heat it. But dont boil them.
  7. Cook it well till it becomes hot.
  8. In a small pan take oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chillies, then add this in pan which is of buttermilk.
  9. Mix well. serve hot.
