ABOUT Baked mango yogurt RECIPE

Traditionally it is made without any flavour which is popularly known as mishti doi in bengal but I have tried it with fresh mangoes for a twist which came out very delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 big Ripe mango
  2. 100 gm condensed milk
  3. 250 GM HUNG CURD
  4. Yellow food colour (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a muslin cloth hang curd made with full cream for atleast 1 hour.
  2. Make a fine puree with the mango.
  3. Next in a bowl mix hung curd,condensed milk ,mango puree and food colour with a whisk.
  4. Adjust the sweetness if required add some more condense milk.
  5. Now transfer this to a oven proof bowl or ramekins.
  6. Bake the yogurt in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius.
  7. First 15 minutes cover it with a aluminum foil and rest uncover it and bake for 15-20 minutes till it sets.
  8. Use a water bath i.e keep the bowl in a tray and cover it with water so that atleast half of the bowl remains covered with water.
  9. Let it stand for atleast 2-3 hours in the oven.
  10. As it cools down completely keep it in the refrigerator to chill.
  11. Serve chilled with some chopped mangoes at top.
