Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Parwal (pointed gourd) - 1 kg
  2. Onions - 2 big
  3. Tomato puree - 1 cup
  4. Cumin seeds - 1/2tspn
  5. Green Chillies - 2
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
  7. Haldi -1 tspn
  8. Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tspn
  9. Dhaniya powder - 1 tspn
  10. Pepper powder - 1 /2 tspn
  11. Garam masala (optional) - 1/ 2 tspn
  12. oil
  13. Salt
  14. Water

Instructions

  1. HEAT OIL, ADD CUMIN SEEDS AND GREEN CHILLIES
  2. ONCE THEY SPLUTTER, ADD CHOPPED ONIONS
  3. SAUTE THEM A LITTLE
  4. ADD CRUSHED GARLIC / GINGER GARLIC PASTE
  5. ADD PARWAL
  6. SAUTE THEM ON MEDIUM FLAME
  7. COOK THEM FOR 5 MIN BY COVERING
  8. ONCE THEY TEND TO BE LITTLE SOFT, ADD SALT AND SAUTE FOR 2 MIN
  9. NOW ADD HALDI, RED CHILLI POWDER
  10. BLACK PEPPER POWDER, DHANIYA POWDER
  11. AND SAUTE TILL MASALA GETS COOKED, KEEP IT ON LOW FLAME 5 MIN
  12. ONCE MASALAS ARE COOKED, ADD TOMATO PUREE
  13. MIX PROPERLY SO THAT TOMATOES GET COOKED
  14. MASALAS WILL START STICKING AT THE BASE, ADD FEW DROPS OF WATER
  15. COVER IT FOR 5 TO 10 MIN, MIX WELL BEFORE SWITCHING OFF
