How To Make Chickpeas Salad

Inspired by Bombay's favorite street-side snack -- Bhel Puri, this chickpea salad is crisp and crunchy in every bite.

Ingredients to make Chickpeas Salad

  • 250 gms chickpeas soaked and cooked
  • 1 green Capsicum
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • 1/4 cup toasted Peanuts
  • 1 Cucumber chopped
  • For the dressing -
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground Red chilli
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh Coriander leaves chopped
  • a few Mint leaves
  • juice of 1 Lime
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Steps to make Chickpeas Salad

  1. Prepare the ingredients (listed under ‘dressing’) for dressing and set aside.
  2. In a bowl combine rest of the ingredients and gently toss with dressing. Serve immediately.
