Kaya Curry with Rice Dumplings

Ingredients to make Kaya Curry with Rice Dumplings

  • 4 MEDIUM SIZE KAYA (RAW banana)
  • 250 gm rice batter
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 Cup coconut Milk
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 2 raw red chillies
  • 1 Tbsp curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt as per taste
  • Grated coconut

How to make Kaya Curry with Rice Dumplings

  1. Boil 3 kaya.
  2. Meanwhile make rice dumplings out of the rice batter
  3. Take 1 tbsp coconut oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and red chilli.
  4. Mash boiled kaya and add into the above masala.
  5. Add turmeric, salt and coconut milk to it.
  6. Garnish with stir fried pieces of raw kaya, curry leaves, red chillies and grated coconut.
  7. Serve hot along with rice dumplings.
