Churi Muri (Mangalorean Bhel)

Ingredients to make Churi Muri (Mangalorean Bhel)

  • Puffed Rice - 2 to 3 cups
  • Onion - 2 medium sized finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 or 2 medium sized finely chopped
  • Raw Mango - 1 sliced
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Coriander leaves - 3 to 4 tsp finely chopped
  • Groundnuts - 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 to 3 tsp
  • Cocounut Oil - 2 to 3 tsp
  • Salt for taste

How to make Churi Muri (Mangalorean Bhel)

  1. Mix chopped onion, tomato, green chilly, coriander leaves, grated mango and groundnuts in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. To the mixture add coconut oil, lime juice, red chilli powder, salt to taste and mix well.
  3. Add puffed rice and mix well so that each grain of puffed rice is coated with spiced vegetable mixture. Serve it immediately

My Tip:

Carrots can also be added.
