Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup chana dal
  2. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  3. 1/2 tsp salt
  4. For tempting, 2 tbsp desi ghee
  5. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  6. 8 to 10 garlic nicely chopped
  7. 1 inch ginger nicely chopped
  8. 1 onion chopped
  9. 4 green cardamom
  10. 4 cloves
  11. 1/4 tsp hing powder
  12. 4 green chilli cut in half
  13. 2 tomato chopped
  14. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  15. 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  16. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  17. 1 tsp lemon juice
  18. Adjust Salt according to taste
  19. Fresh chopped corriender

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 CUP CHANA DAL IN A BOWL
  2. ADD WATER RUB IT AND WASH IT AND DO THIS PROCESS FOR 2 TO 3 TIMES
  3. NOW ADD SUFFIENT WATER TO SOAK THA DAL, COVER IT AND KEEP ASIDE FOR 2 TO 3 HOURS
  4. WHEN DAL SOAKED TRANSFER IN COOKER
  5. ADD WATER TO COOK DAL
  6. ADD 1/2 TSP SALT
  7. AND ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  8. NOW CLOSE THE LID AND KEEP COOKER ON GAS AND WAIT FOR 3 TO 4 WHISTLE COMES OR DAL COMPLETY COOK
  9. NOW HEAT 2 TBSP DESI GHEE IN A VESSLE
  10. ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS
  11. AND ADD 8 TO 10 CHOPPED GARLIC
  12. SAUTE IT AND ADD 1 INCH NICELY CHOPPED GINGER
  13. NOW ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION
  14. 4 GREEN CARDAMOM
  15. 4 CLOVES
  16. AND STIR IT
  17. ADD 1/4 TSP HING POWDER
  18. ADD 4 GREEN CHILLIES CUT IN HALF
  19. STIR IT
  20. ADD 2 CHOPPED TOMATO
  21. STIR IT
  22. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  23. 1/2 TSP JEERA POWDER
  24. 1 TSP OR ACCORDING TO TASTE SALT
  25. SAUTE ALL
  26. NOW COVER IT TO COOK TOMATO
  27. WHEN TOMATO DONE ADD ALREADY BOILED CHANA DAL IN THIS
  28. MIX AND COOK AGAIN FOR 2 TO 3 MINUTES WHEN DONE SWITCH OF GAS
  29. FINALLY ADD 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA AND 1 TSP LEMON JUICE IN IT
  30. FINALLY ADD FRESH CHOOPED AND MIX
  31. NOW MASALA CHANA DAL IS READY TO SERVE
