ABOUT Kofta Curry RECIPE

Paneer cheese stuffed aloo kofta with kaju curry.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 onions
  2. 2 table spoons chilli powder
  3. 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
  4. 1 spoon dried methi leaves
  5. 1 spoon garam masala
  6. 6-7 cashews
  7. 1 spoon poppy seeds
  8. 2 spoons ginger garlic paste
  9. 1/2 spoon sugar
  10. 4 potatoes
  11. 2 tomatoes
  12. 2 table spoons chat masala
  13. 80 gms Panner
  14. 2 cubes of Cheese
  15. 5-6 Coriander leaves
  16. 1 bay leaf
  17. 1/2 Cinnamon sticks
  18. 2 cloves
  19. 1 small cup of bread crumbs
  20. Salt according to taste
  21. 2 spoons butter

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes till they are soft.
  2. Remove Brown covering from potatoes and let it rest for 2 minutes.
  3. Now in a bowl, take potatoes and mash it properly then add bread crumbs, salt, chat masala, some finely chopped green chilies and finely chopped coriander in it.
  4. Now make small balls of it and stuff grated panner and cheese in it and koftas are ready. Make sure koftas are not so soft as we have to deep fry these koftas.
  5. Now in pan heat the oil and deep fry these koftas until they are crispy and reddish brown.
  6. For curry heat 2 table spoons of oil and add bay leaf, 2 cloves, 1/2 cinnamon stick and add chopped onions, ginger garlic paste then saute them until onions are brown.
  7. Now take mixer, add the mixture (sauted onion and spices) and chopped tomatoes add cashews, poppy seeds and grind them all till you get smooth liquid paste.
  8. Now heat the pan, add 1 spoon of butter, now add paste and saute them till it is properly cooked and you will get nice aroma. Add salt,chili powder, kitchen king masala in it and 1/2 spoon of sugar and let it cook for 6-7 minutes.
  9. Now take the serving bowl, add koftas in the curry and garnish it with some cream and coriander leaves. And your kofta curry is ready to eat :-)
