Rose and Fennel Oat Cookies

Ingredients to make Rose and Fennel Oat Cookies

  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • 1/2 cup Whole-wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp dried Rose petals
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • A pinch of salt

How to make Rose and Fennel Oat Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°Celsius and grease a baking tray.
  2. Take a bowl and sift the wheat flour, crushed dried rose petals, and salt.
  3. Blend the oats, fennel seeds, and sugar to a powder consistency then add this to the bowl of wheat flour. Combine these ingredients well with the help of a spoon/fork.
  4. Next pour the honey and oil into the bowl and stir it well to make a hard dough.
  5. You may also add a teaspoon of milk or water if the dough is not coming together.
  6. Shape small portions of the dough into balls using your fingers, flatten them slightly. Then arrange the cookies onto the greased baking tray.
  7. Bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes. Note that these cookies should remain soft and chewy in texture.
  8. Serve warm with a glass of milk or tea.
My Tip: You can also replace the oats and use wholewheat flour instead.
