Ingredients to make Dahi wala chicken

  • 1 kg chicken full legs ( cut into pieces)
  • For marinate
  • 1/2 kg Curd
  • 1 Tsp cumin seed
  • Black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp tomato puree
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp oil
  • FOR GARNISH
  • Coriander leaves

How to make Dahi wala chicken

  1. Take chicken pieces and add all the ingredients as mentioned for marination except cumin seed and butter.
  2. Keep in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  3. In a karahi add oil and butter.
  4. Add cumin seed allow to crackle.
  5. Add marinated chicken, cover with lid and cook on low flame until chicken is cooked.
  6. Remove the lid and cook it on high flame till extra water of curd gets evaporate
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Use beaten curd.
