A new masala to marinate fish ....for lips smacking fish fry...

Fish fry masala

Ingredients to make Fish fry masala

  • Black stone flower - 2 pieces
  • saunf -  1tbsp
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tbsp
  • cinnamon - 1/2 inch
  • cloves - 4 no's
  • Pearl onion - 8 no's
  • red chilli dry - 4 no's
  • Sesame oil - 2 tbsp
  • Fish (any verity ) - 600 gms ( I have used seer fish )
  • salt to taste
  • For frying fish you will need - 200 ml  ( oil and masala will be left over )

How to make Fish fry masala

  1. Heat Oil in pan and add spices one by one first black stone flower.Then saunf, cumin seeds, cloves, Cinnamon, Pepper and saute well then add pearl onions.Saute well if pearl onions are large cut to four piece so that they get cooked soon then add red chilli dry.
  2. Set aside to cool and add salt.
  3. Now make smooth paste of this in food processor add 1/4 tumbler of water.
  4. Now marinate your fish slice with the masala prepared and set in fridge for 5 hours.
  5. Then remove from fridge 1/2 an hour before your fry. Fry and serve with onion slices and 1/4 of a lemon.

My Tip:

Setting in the fridge is optional......
