ABOUT Monsoon Special Desi sizzler RECIPE

Desi sizzler is a new innovation by me. It is a blend of indian and western style. Make your monsoon season delicious with this dish and enjoy it your dear ones. Easy to prepare and tasty to eat. All you need to do is just step into your kitchen and prepare the dish and serve it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1) For Bhajia/Pakora
  2. Tomato 1
  3. Onion 1
  4. Potato 1
  5. green chilies 3-4
  6. Oil for fry
  7. 2) For Green Chutney (Tomato Bhajia)
  8. Chopped Green Chillies Small 3-4
  9. Chopped Coriender leaves 1/2 Cup
  10. Chopped mint leaves 1/4 cup
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 3) For Stuffing (Green Chilli Bhajia)
  13. Papdi Gathiya / Naylon Gathiya / Bhavnagari Gathiya 1 Cup
  14. Sesame seeds 2 tbsp
  15. Cumin Seed powder 1 tbsp
  16. RED CHILLI POWDER 1 TBSP
  17. garam masala powder 1 tbsp
  18. Sugar 1/2 tbsp
  19. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  20. Salt to taste
  21. 4) For Batter
  22. Gram flour 2 cups
  23. Salt to taste
  24. Water as require
  25. 5) For Sauce
  26. Butter 3 tbsp
  27. Ginger and Garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
  28. tomato paste/ puree 2 cup
  29. Cashew paste 1/2 cup
  30. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  31. Sugar 1 tsp
  32. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  33. Kasuri Meathi 1/2 tsp
  34. Cream 2 tbsp
  35. 6) For garnishing
  36. Franch Fries/ soya sticks
  37. Cabbage leaves
  38. Butter to generate Smoke

Instructions

  1. A) For Chutney (For Tomato Bhajia)
  2. Take a mixture jar and add chopped coriender leaves, chopped meant leaves and chopped small green chillies.
  3. Add Salt to taste.
  4. Grind all the ingredients well.
  5. Add little bit of water if required.
  6. Make sure chutney remains thick in texture.
  7. Take it in one bowl and keep aside.
  8. B) For Stuffing (For Chilli Bhajia)
  9. Take another mixture jar and add gathiya, sasame seeds, red chilli powder, cumin seed powder, garam masala powder, sugar, lemon juice and salt to taste.
  10. Graind all the ingredients perfect.
  11. Take it in one bowl and keep aside.
  12. C) For Sauce
  13. Take a pan and heat the butter.
  14. Add Ginger garlic paste and mix it well.
  15. Add tomato puree and cashew paste.
  16. Mix it properly.
  17. Now add red chilli powder, Sugar, Garam masala powder, kasuri methi, lemon juice and salt to taste.
  18. Mix properly.
  19. Now add cream and chopped coriender and mix it well.
  20. Turn off the heat and take the sauce in one bowl and keep aside
  21. D) For Batter
  22. Take a bowl and add gram flour and salt to taste.
  23. Mix it well.
  24. Add water and mix it well (approx 3-4 cup water in 150gms Gram flour).
  25. Make a smooth batter.
  26. E) For Bhajia
  27. Take tomato, onion and potato. Cut them in round rings. (Approximate 1/4 of an inch thick).
  28. Put the potato slice in the water for some time.
  29. After that take tomato slice/ring and spread the chutney all over it. And keep aside.
  30. Now from onion separate the rings from each other very carefully and keep aside.
  31. After that using sharp knife slit the chillies and de seed it properly.
  32. Now stuff the chillies with the stuffing and keep aside.
  33. After that heat some oil in pan.
  34. Now dip all the pakora/bhajia into batter and then fry them until they turn golden brown.
  35. Keep all pakora/bhajia aside.
  36. Keep aside.
  37. F) For Desi Sizzler Set a sizzler plate on heat. In order to avoid the sizzler assembly burning, place cabbage leaves over the sizzler plate.
  38. One by one start assembling the items. Also assemble some french fries.
  39. Move the sizzler plate on block of wood and add the sauce over it.
  40. Now for generating Smoke add butter under the cabbage leaves placed over sizzler plate .
  41. Desi Sizzler is ready to serve.
