Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 pack pie pastry dough
  2. 1/2 to 3/4 inch ginger chopped
  3. 1/2 cup boiled peas
  4. 1/2 cup boiled corn
  5. 3/4 cup finely grated paneer
  6. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Dash of hing (asafoedita)
  8. 1 tsp green chili-coriander leaves paste
  9. 1 tsp pani-puri concentrate paste
  10. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  11. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  12. 1 tsp red chili powder
  13. 1 tsp fennel seed powder
  14. 1/2 tsp amchur (dry mango) powder
  15. Salt and black pepper powder to taste
  16. 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Coarsely grind peas and corn with ginger and both chutneys.
  2. Heat oil in skillet. Add cumin seeds when hot as well as hing.
  3. Add the ground peas and corn mixture and sauté till the mixture is dry on medium heat stirring at intervals.
  4. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, fennel seed powder, garam masala powder, Amchur, salt and black pepper. Add paneer and stir fry to mix well. Switch off gas and let mixture cool down.
  5. If pastry dough is frozen, leave to rest at Room Temperature for an hour. Meanwhile preheat oven to 450 Deg F and line a baking tray with oven proof parchment paper.
  6. Once pliable, spread it out and cut in any desired shape (round, square, etc.) with a cookie cutter or even a jar lid.
  7. Place stuffing in the center of the disc and apply some water to the edges. Cover with another round disc sealing edges firmly. Use fork to press down to seal.
  8. Lightly brush with milk, oil, or butter and sprinkle some onion seeds over them.
  9. Bake in oven for 8-12 minutes rotating tray mid way through baking. (Baking time depends on temperature of oven as it often varies from oven to oven). Keep a watch over them to prevent over browning.
