Ingredients to make Dark fudge chocolate nutty cake

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups- powder sugar
  • 1/3 cup + 1tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup cold refrigerated water
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup soda water

How to make Dark fudge chocolate nutty cake

  1. Whisk flour,powered sugar,cocoa powder,salt and baking soda in a bowl and keep aside.
  2. Put cold water,oil,white vinegar and vanilla essence in a big mixing bowl.
  3. Add flour,mix in 2-3 batches,folding gentle with a wooden spoon each time. do not over mix.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup soda water. mix quickly.
  5. Immediately transfer batter into prepared 6-7"square tin. bake at 170C for 40 minutes.
My Tip: for decoration 1/4-1/2 cups rounded tsp liquid glucose 1/4 cup chopped almonds,walnuts 1/2 cup-dark chocolate cherries-2-4 method 1.Cut cake in heart shape 2.For rose , add liquid glucose to add 1/2 cup cake trimmings and mix to get a smooth pliable dough. Make roses with this dough. 3.Leaves- melt 2tbsp chocolate in a microwave or double boiler . stir with spin till melted . brush on washed ficus leaves . keep in the fridge for 1-2 hours Very carefully peel the leaf of the chocolate , starting at the stem send. 4.sprinkle the roasted dry fruit a on the cake to cover completely 5.pour the melted chocolate on the cake and arrange roses on side and chocolate leaves around them and cherry
