ABOUT Aloo Paneer meal RECIPE

A typical Punjabi Meal with Aloo paneer curry, lauki raita and Paratha, for a hearty meal for kids or adults can also be a lunch packed for dear Hubby.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 gms Potatoes medium
  2. 100 gms Paneer
  3. 2big Tomatoes
  4. Half a small portion of Lauki
  5. Curd well set
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1tspn Ginger garlic as choice chopped or grated
  8. 1tspn cumin coriander powder
  9. Half tspn Pepper powder
  10. Coriander leaves n green chilli paste (optional)
  11. Wheat flour 250 gms fror Parantha
  12. Use 1tblspn ghee pure if handy or olive oil
  13. 1 tspn red chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Peel wash potatoes and cut in to halves.
  2. Grate or blanch tomatoes keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee /oil in pressure cooker add grated tomatoes and ginger garlic paste salt/ turmeric as option
  4. Simmer on slow to cook base well now add other spices mix well and simmer with half cup water added.
  5. To this add the washed cut potato halves and the paneer blend well all together and add 2 glasses water for gravy curry as per choice.
  6. Pressure cook for 15min and leave pressure in till done.
  7. For lauki raita:
  8. Boil grated lauki with a pinch of salt well and drain all water.
  9. Add this to curd and mix both well now season with pepper powder salt and coriander leaves chopped fine.
  10. Keep in fridge to cool till paranthas are done.
  11. For parantha :
  12. Knead soft flour with pinch of salt and ghee oil to soften.
  13. Roll in a puri apply oil or ghee inside form a triangle roll out triangle shape and heat griddle to shallow fry well both sides.
  14. Serve hot with curry and cool refreshing raita.
